The Importance of Internet Marketing in Real Estate

The Internet Marketing Trifecta is a combination of SEO, Social Media, and Content Marketing (or blogging) and is integral to a website’s success; however the relationship is confusing for many. Try looking at this relationship within the traditional real estate marketing framework of “farming .” Imagine you are an established realtor in Orlando and you decide to relocate to Miami, how would you market yourself? Any realtor worth their salt would know to make new connections by attending parties, joining associations, and regularly sending fliers with local market updates. When you launch your website, it is like you are moving to a new community, only this community is called the Internet.
 In order to farm the Internet community, you need to first, make yourself visible on the web, through Search Engine Optimization, then you need to interact with other members of the community, through Social Media, and provide your members with something valuable to keep them returning, Content.  In other words, Search Engine Optimization connects customers to your site by making your website detectable to search engines, Social Media gives your customers, peers, and community a chance to interact with your website and your brand, and the content connects your customers to your brand through providing information that they need or find interesting.
 Each of these components, used alone, is effective for their specific purpose, however when used in concert, your web traffic becomes amplified. A further advantage to this trifecta of web marketing is that it is measurable. Unlike mailed fliers that have an approximate rate on return of maybe 3-5%, we can measure the increases in traffic on your site, interaction with your social media posts, and visits to your blog, to the minute and location of the browser.   Using this data you are able to identify trends, and generate content and posts that target the consumer and business leads that you are trying to capture.  The fact is utilizing SEO with Social Media, and Content Based marketing is a strategy that is an industry standard and impossible to ignore.
